Retreats are an opportunity to deepen your yoga practice or to learn about yoga, to get away from the daily stresses of life and give you some uninterrupted time to contemplate life, just relax and be yourself. It is a time to tune out the noise from outside, and tune in to your Self. Usually the retreats will involve some element of silence which helps with meditation and introspection.

The retreat groups are kept small – no more than 7 at a time – and are held near the Hartebeesport Dam, about an hour’s drive from Johannesburg. Everyone gets their own thatch roof rondavel, with a bathroom and shower, and with beautiful views over the dam. Meals are vegetarian.

The retreats generally start on Friday late afternoon, after work, with a yoga session before supper. And they finish after lunch on Sunday. The programme usually includes early morning yoga sessions, pranayam and meditation sessions. There is also time to contemplate, read, swim and just relax.

Retreats can also be organised on request – be it for a group of friends, a group of beginners, or work colleagues.

Cost of the retreat:

Since the groups are small, it is advisable to book early. For more information please phone me on 011 782-5487 or on 083 411-2481.
